Dragon

He was born some time ago after his mother was abandoned on a deserted island. The island was dragon breeding grounds. At first the dragons thought the two to be sacrifices, but the crying of the baby wooed an old female out of her deep cavern. She apparently "adopted" the young human to fill the void of no longer being able to have young any more. The first words he learned were "Draco Anthropos" (dragon human). His mother lived a short time on the island but perished due to the jealousy of the female dragon.

It is rumored that "Dragon" was reared here and taught the ways of the dragon. He shortened his name to Draco-anthro and eventually to Dragon. He claims to have never known any other name. Another rumor says that he has slain many dragons. The man denies this and says he respects all species of the regal beasts. Whichever the case, he was drawn to the sea (from whence he came) and signed on as a mariner at the tender age of 13. He learned all manner of seamanship and marlinspike. He soon became "too big for his breeks" and was cast ashore at a port in the south (which may account for his strange accent).

Here, Dragon learned the art of the sword, dagger, and hand combat from a master of war rumored to be elfin (perhaps Asian…he could not pronounce it correctly). Years later, Dragon signed on to a ship heading towards his homeland. Here he learned that communication could be an art in the form of story telling. He learned to tell stories and gained the uncanny ability to translate what other people meant when they spoke.

After several other tours on ships, Dragon earned a reputation for being able to stay under water for extended periods of time. This came in handy for raids and for un-fouling the ship when it became entangled. It has never been confirmed how he learned to do this, although he has been able to stay under water for some period of time (rumor has it from 40-60 days but is not documented). He was drawn to a raucous crew at a pub. He met several of the crew and determined that they were privateers. This seemed better than merchant shipping by a long shot. After meeting the Captain and several officers and crew, they accepted him as one of their own. He was given to telling great stories of adventures and those of humorous anecdotes. As such, this crew took him aboard "The Apocalypse" as Bard, to better document the tales of this great vessel and her crew. The exploits shall be re-told for years to come. His translation abilities have already been put to the test and testament from the First Mate can give credence to this translation ability.

It has been documented that Dragon may have been raised by dragons. He has the ability to create a gas concocted by consuming certain kinds of ale and unknown food-stuffs that can clear a pub in a matter of seconds. Although he has not actually killed anyone with this gas, he has come close.
